Chapter 33: Iriti’s POV

The morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. I woke up before Ekaksh, as I often did, feeling the comforting weight of his arm draped over me. But today, there was a gnawing anxiety that pulled me out of bed earlier than usual. I had seen the bandage on his forehead and the bruises on his arms, and a deep, unsettling worry had settled in my chest.
